Abstract

Rheumatoid leptomeningitis is rare in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). 40-year-old female patient with RA for 5 years was admitted with headache for 2 months. The levels of rheumatoid factor and anti-cyclic-citrulinated peptide antibody were high. Brain magnetic resonance imaging revealed focal increased FLAIR signal in the leptomeninges of the right fronto-parietal lobe and showed abnormal leptomeningeal enhancement. She was diagnosed with rheumatoid leptomeningitis. She improved after corticosteroid therapy. We report a case of 40-year-old woman with rheumatoid leptomeningitis and a history of RA.
